About Me
I taught Film and Theater to students at a Long Island public high school for almost 20 years. We used blogs, digital editing apps and SmartBoard technologies. I also taught courses (Computer Technologies for Teachers, and Technology, Pedagogy and School Reform) at Adelphi University.
I'm also a filmmaker, and in 2008 my short film was shown at the Cannes Film Festival (listed as Laura Alfieri-Rebecca)! Feel free to ask me any questions on integrating film and video into teaching!

Hi Laura. I was wondering if your students would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. If not, perhaps you have some educator contacts you could direct me to. You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!

Laura, wonderful presentation today at Nastech - only wish we had more time. Kudos to you for being able to talk to your administrators about allowing students access to the real world. I just wanted to let you know I enjoyed the presentation very much.
