The white hair

I looked into the mirror in despair

And saw a wrinkled worried face!

I tried to shave and comb my hair

My eyes suddenly looked into space!

They saw the coming shadow of death

As I coughed but not laughed aloud

Carousely spendthrifting my wealth!

Of my wife and property I felt very proud
