Sorry for my late reply Beth. I will be at the ISTE Conference. I'm looking forward to seeing you again. Now what culinary delights are there in Denver that we need to try out??
Nice photos of Educon and associated events. I lost that blue raincoat I am wearing in the picture from our subway ride downtown at Philadelphia's Penn Station where, while waiting a couple of hours for my train, I stopped and had one very large relatively high alcohol German beer. I apparently left the coat behind as I staggered toward the track gate. One more lesson from Educon...
I've been okay but very, very busy. I've gotten involved in the school's software purchasing and planning for next year, plus I've become (by default) the go-to guy for tech help, training and advice.

I am teaching 1 dual credit course and 2 evening courses, design fundamentals and elem. art methods for wncc. In addition taking a class in technology leadership from unk online. I will have a complete online course in graphic design next semester, and web/CT is eating my lunch. I much prefer moodle and I am using nings for 2 of my classes with much success.. we love them!
Hi Beth,
I'm new to online teaching. I have been using WizIq to conduct live classes outside of my normal f2f class time. I was wondering about the teaching model you use. Do you conduct live online classes? Do you use Elluminate? Is the curriculum you use in your online classes the same as the one you use in your f2f teaching?
Hi Beth, I'm a friend of Mobbsey, I'm a school teacher from Nepal. Irun a school for poor family children. I want to share ideas and know better ideas how i can help students carry on their studies. Most of the girl children leave school in the middle. there's very bad dropout rate every year. I'm worried for that.

I was just browsing through the discussion about obstacles facing online learning/educators and noticed you're looking for some sort of hookup with students from elsewhere.
I'm a secondary (Year 10 - so 15 year olds) English teacher and have my class making regular blog posts that aren't necessarily curriculum related (they can write about anything, the goal is to encourage them to express themselves).
I'm certainly interested in at least talking about possibly connections - not sure how we can figure it all out, but am sure we could nut something out!
Hi
Thanks so much...If fact I share in my presentation and Keynotes about you...You are an inspiration and I am so delighted that you are the 1 in 10...Went from NEB. to Colorado to AZ to NECC and then on to BLC with some work for Alan November....Even had a few days to visit Boston...Now have 2 weeks off before everything starts up again with school starting...Thanks again for the nice words
Howie

How are you?
