I had one gal in 8th grade a few years ago tell me, "there are whites and Indians". It blew her mind when we went to a track meet and one team had their names on the back of their shirts. I explained the way the name is spelled sometimes can show what culture they are from. This is when she brought out that she thought their was only "whites and Indians", she did not realize there are many "White" cultures. I would really like to do this. I believe it would be a very valuable lesson for myself and my students.

The rest I'm teaching elementary IT. Let me see how I can join with your class on this. I liked looking at their vision of the future. Am trying to do more with Voicethread myself so this could fit in nicely. Maggie
