I think your screencasts for using Blogger are the best I've seen, but lately my students are having difficulty accessing them. Are they still available?

Hi J. I was wondering if you and your students would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. If not, perhaps you have some educator contacts you could direct me to. You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!

Great question and i can honestly answer that I know that it is a CMS and that's it. I have never worked with it. I did do a comparison of some CMS platforms a year ago and it was strong for the expense issue (my understanding is that it is free). We didn't pursue it as an option because Moodle offered us more value in terms of add-ons than joomla at the time. Sorry took so long to respond, I've been at IRA and just got back.

A belated thanks for the welcome. Perhaps the summer will offer the time needed to develop the skills needed for implementation of new possibilities.

I teach 7th to 9th grade in junior high school in Taiwan. Now I am in ITEC program at San Francisco State University. If there is an opportunity, I would like my students to connect with other people from different cultures.

I saw your blog on cacao and child labor - my classes have been studying the Mayans, cacao, and the Caribbean this week and, as usual, your material gave me a lot of new ideas. I created a MyStudio Quiz. Check it out here when you get a moment. On the same page, you'll also see one of my animoto/garageband creations. Plus lots of interesting info on the chocolate and cacao farming.

Thanks, J Black, for coming by. I've been using Diigo as the biggest part of my networking so far. I've just now moved to classroom2.0. I'll get it all figured out soon, I hope. Seems friendly so far. ;-)

Hi there, I just joined Classroom2.0 today and haven't done anything with it yet. I need to explore around a bit more then start building a presence. I'm hoping to get familiar so that I can recommend this to teachers in our district.

Would be glad to share! I just added you as a friend. Hope to share some thoughts soon! Do you have any structures in mind? It's a pretty open topic and my experience is limited to only really two models, but would be glad to develop some thoughts around this topic with you. Thanks for asking.

Janni,

Thanks for the Classroom 2.0 email yesterday. The filter blocked it out out for me this morning, though. I guess this is a dangerous site! lol
