I see what you mean now. It is currently 3:20 p.m. on Friday here and your day is just getting started there at 7:20 a.m. on Saturday (16 hours). Really for schools to be involved it would have to be either 4:00 p.m. our time to 8:00 the next day for your schools.
thanks alot for your reply. In fact i'm sure that w/o education there will be no development. We are suffering in sudan and generally in Africa by the incorrect policy making and taking in education.
We as teachers we are interested in enfprcing our curriculae ,methodology.
We expect some people such as you can help in sudan education imrovement.
Hello, as far as equipment we utilize polycoms here in Western, NY. We have done hundreds of virtual field trips to many museums, zoo's, etc. We also have done several collaboratives within our state to outside of the country. I don't specifically teach students. I instead manage all the distance learning connection that happen within our region. I also look for collaborative partners for our teachers. I would love to have a connection in New Zealand. I do not have one yet. Also do you own any Polycom video conference equipment at your location?
I am fairly new to all of this. Internet savvy yes, but web 2.0 and the learningprocess implied by it is new to me. My goal is to become very good at it. Perhaps you could point me in a direction. Although I have started to use some aspects inmy class, right now I am most interested in developing a good system for the faculty to communicate adn collaborate on issues that come up. Time is scarce and we have been going through a particularly trying time. I am looking at a ning like this one, but am wondering about any pitfalls and how to avoid them. Mastering a wiki seems like it would also be helpful. Any advice you cangive would be appreciated (I'll post this to the general forum as well.)
Hi, Anne! I get into Melbourne on Sunday night that week, and will be there through Wednesday evening. Let's for sure try to find time to meet! I don't know about the dinner, but I haven't looked too closely to the schedule.

Hi Anne,
I will try and get the links for you. I haven't actually read any of their blogs yet, but i did help them explore the idea last year.
All the best,
Dorian

I'm back. I haven't had the chance to check out my page since the last time we chatted. I still can't change my picture. I did notice, though, that my page does not have an upload button. The browse button gets the photo I want, but there isn't anything like an OK or UPLOAD button to click on. When I download to my Wiki, I have the browse and OK buttons. When I download to my school files I have the browse and upload buttons. Could this be the problem? If so, is there a setting I haven't hit?
We would love to connect with any of your classes. If we could figure out a way to connect with you guys through webcams that would be great. Thanks! :)
Yes I currently use Web2.0 tools in my university courses but know I need to incorporate so much more! I am excited to learn about anything and everything people are using in K-12 and higher education settings:)
I am trying to incorporate Web 2.0 in all of my classes. We started a Tech Assessment for the 8th graders this year and a large majority of the assessment is about blogging, podcasts, wikis, etc. Something that NONE of these students have dealt with before. We are trying to change that.
