Hi all,
I'm am italian student of 33, in a road to graduate myself.
My studies are about web 2.0 tecnologies, and how you can use them to impove the effectiveness of a lesson.

My teatcher asked me to create some web 2.0 sites: a community, on ning (http://sncorsow2009.ning.com/), a wiki and a blog to share the lessons' slides (shared on slideshare).

We've just started a course of 3 month, and we'll get some result just in january.
Indeed, we are looking for more web applications to use in our lessons: in particular we're interested in a way to store students' material, outside our blog or social network, but linked in them, of course.

A very special look to creative commons: it is usual to find some beatiful image on google and use then in our slides... but what about the law?

So, these are the themes of my research.
If anyone can share with me their idea I'll be grateful.

tnx all
I am the author and the voice of a free ESL website for adult Spanish speakers, PUMAROSA.COM.
Ovedr the past five years its popularity has grown a lot, and right now I teach in my students' homes using the website and my texts, my own distance learning program. Most of the students are low income and are just beginning to learn about computers, so PUMAROSA serves as a good introduction.
I just found about Classroom 2.0, and I look forward to meeting other like-minded people.

Hello everyone!

My name is Michelle and I am an English teacher at a Secondary School in Ontario, Canada. I am a Digital Literacy and ABEL lead in my school. We are implementing a student laptop program next fall where all incoming Grade 9 students will bring their own laptops to school. I'm hoping to meet other like minded educators and to get ideas on how to help my school prepare for our laptop initiative. I follow several educators on twitter who reference this site, so I wanted to check it out for myself. :)

Hi all -

This is great! I think it's been said by others - I'm not sure what my questions are yet. I teach in a very small college - mostly 2 year degrees. We're starting to do a lot more online. One of the classes I teach is Computers & Technology. We're actually in the middle of a unit about the Internet and web - especially communication, e.g. email, social networking, etc. SO... I'm really looking forward to learning what others are doing and gaining new ideas.

Hello Steve and everyone on the list. I am very interested in the information that can be shared on this list. I am an ESL/EFL Instructor and curriculum director and I am very interested in sharing information about using technology with second language learners. I look forward to sharing with all of you.
Hello everyone,

I was wondering how to hyperlink on my classroom 2.0 web page. Every time I want to highlight and enter the link, it shows the web address. How can I hide the web address?

Hi everyone

I am in my third and final year of my degree which is completed online. I am doing an action inquiry for my final dissertation into body language and looking at non verbal communication as a way of improving my working practices,

I have to disseminate my findings and as I am a mere teaching assistant ( although a good one) i am restricted at who and when I can disseminate this to so I have concluded that I can use a small number of peers in my work setting using the intranet to disseminate my findings in a power point and would like to disseminate in classroom 2.0. The plan is to carry out the 2 planned cycles with a view to implementing a third. The changes and improvements will be minimal but satisfactory enough I hope to show adequate changes to aid improvement.

I was wondering if anyone had done anything similar to this and if using this forum will be acceptable. I would appreciate any advice and support during the next few months and look forward to any responses to support my work

Hi,
I'm Cindy Sinsap, and I teach high school English at The American School of Bangkok in Thailand. I try to keep myself up-to-date with technology and its applications to the classroom, but things move so very fast! I tried a wiki for collaborative writing in my creative writing class a couple years ago, but it was not very successful.
I do use an edublog to keep my students and their parents informed about things going on in our classroom, assignments, and that sort of thing; however, I feel the need to get the students themselves more involved in using technology to connect to our subject.
I'm looking forward to getting and sharing ideas here!
I'm a 9-12 science teacher in a very small town in nebraska. We were fortunate this year, our school went one-to-one. Each 7-12 student has a laptop to use and take home. We are going to try to coordinate 3 days of technology - learning and teaching by students and teachers. I've been asked to present something "techie" in science. I've got a smart board and computer in the classroom but most of my teaching is very hands on. I teach everything from chem to bio to anatomy. Is there anyone out there that incorporates any apps into their science classes. I know how to use iWeb, wikis, blogs, iCal, moodle (sort of), powerpoint, smartboards. But incorporating some of the resources into my classroom is new and seems time-consuming to me. I would appreciate any feedback from those techie/science teachers out there on, not only ideas for my classes but for a project I could do with kids/teachers.
