I am teaching grade two next year and was curious if anyone had ideas on how to integrate technology into my reading program? I am looking for ideas for individualized instruction as well as small group and whole class lessons. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hi! I taught grade 1 last year and one of the favourite places my kids explored was Tumble Books, which has books read audibly while the text is highlighted. (Our public library has an online link to this program; otherwise we would have to pay for this.) Another idea I just received from a fellow student in my tech and teaching course suggested was storylineonline.net , which has celebrities reading books. I hope to try that this coming year. I was also able to use Reading A-Z for a home reading program.(Our school purchased a license.) Accelerated Reader is another program that has had good success in some of the schools I've taught in.
Sorry I don't have anything specifically for small group or whole class lessons. If you find anything on this, I'd appreciate it.
Hope that's helpful.
