Sorry I haven't had a chance to get back to you before now. We are right into the swing of Semester 2 now and I have a couple of themes going in my class. Usually I try to integrate as much as I can but this term we are working around two themes. We are looking at plants in science and our Society and environment theme is about ancient civilizations. I try to use these themes in my language and maths activities as well.
We have just launched our classblogmeister blog and the class are enjoying showing their families some of their work.
It is nearing the end of winter here and we are also involved in practising for our athletics carnival in 3 weeks time.
Are you teaching Year 4 again in the new school year? If so would you be interested in being blogpals or epals with my class?

I also teach 4th grade - in a suburban school of 300 in Western AUstralia. I am just starting to dabble in 2.0 and don't know anyone here who can help me so finding classroom 2.0 has been great.

About Me: I teach 4th grade and love the age and curriculum. My wife is a teacher too so we have lots to talk about and share. I also love bowling, tennis, and photography. I use to be a computer teacher before my position was eliminated (austerity). I'm very ambivalent about returning to that position if asked. There is a special bond that a classroom teacher has with his students. As a special area teacher that bond is not the same.
