Competition of Baltic School Web Sites

From 2000, the biggest in Lithuania Educational portal www.tinklas.lt (non-profit organization „Švietimo tinklas”, engl. „The Education Network”) organises a competition of school Web Sites. This is the only competition in Lithuania where all schools can present the sites which they created, renewed. The best internet sites are chosen after adding the points received during participants’ voting and after the evaluation of independent experts.

The experts evaluate school sites according to the design of the site, presentation of the information and its usage, the choice of technologies used in creation of the site and their usage.

School sites’ competition encourages Lithaunian schools to look after their sites, update them and to look for new ways to create and improve them. In www.tinklas.lt portal there is a separate site where the visitors of the portal can have a look at the sites of Lithuanian schools, to find areas of cooperation, to take part in discussions.
