SocialEdCon After Party - ISTE Unplugged Saturday Night

SocialEdCon 2012 will finish at 4pm, and knowing that we'll have lots of folks from different parts of the countries whose stomachs will be on different time zones, we'll dismiss on time so you can go somewhere fun for dinner. But plan well, since from 7pm - 9pm at the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina's Rancho Sante Fe meeting room we'll be having an evening party!

While you don't have to sign up to attend, drink tickets (courtesy of the event sponsors) will be disbursed to the first 150 (maybe more?) who do sign up by joining this group!

The first hour of the after-party, from 7 - 8pm, is an "app-sharathon" sponsored by StudyBlue. Come share your favorite handheld device apps, mix, mingle, and enjoy the sponsored drinks, food and desserts..

The second hour, from 8 - 9pm, is a special Startup Weekend Education "pitchfire" activity where educators and others, prepared in advance or not (!), get 60 seconds at the microphone to make a passionate appeal for a product or service they'd like to propose or would like to see offered to educators, then build interest teams around those idea. There's no advanced signup to pitch an idea--just come ready to have some fun! Prizes will be involved, including an expense-paid trip to an actual Startup Weekend event!
