Hi all,

Does anyone have recommendations for 3D design software that has been used in the Classroom that work with 3D printing weather it be using a Makerbot or other product.  I'm currently experimeniting with Google Sketchup and have used TinkerCad with a Makerbot? However, I wonder if there are other recommended platforms to try out and if so, would love to see some projects made by students.

Sketchup seems to work ok with the STL file plug-in http://extensions.sketchup.com/en/content/sketchup-stl

Tinkercad looks not bad either except it has an age 13 restriction for use. The Blokify app seems like an easy way for kids to start designing in 3D and I'm also intrigued by the Printcraft.org solution for building 3d models for printing right in Minecraft!

Nice to join this community!
