For most parents, getting their young children to read is a necessity. One traditional subject in children’s books that is starting to take on added significance is the concept of money. A Chair for My Mother is a great book for teaching many different topics. Students can write about one thing they would save coins to buy. Some of my advanced students might be into The Lemonade War.
