Creative Commons, Open Content, and Copyright
We just finished a great live "conversation" on Creative Commons, Open Content, and Copyright, and the recording and chat log are up on the Resources Wiki. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to where the completed sessions are listed, and you can play or download the audio, as well as click through the title to see the agenda and the log (which has a LOT of great links).
This was a superb discussion on this topic, and the need to help both educators and students become more familiar with these concepts--so that they can know how to manage their own creative work, and how to respect the work of others. Hope you enjoy it!

Sorry I missed but school runs to 3:20pm and then there were parents, stressed students in the library, and oh my word. Enjoying the recording now with hot coffee.
Dealing with copyright is indeed a skill digital citizens need for their futures. This year I have been stressing copyright with 8th graders. As learners become more familiar with basic computer skills, I hope to spiral this skill downward.
We do need more online resources for educators centering around copyright. Putting these all in one place, like Netzsmartz has done, is a great start!
I hope to join the next one!
