What a shame you haven't received your XO-- Mine came straightaway and has even been joined by a little buddy-- it's all in the pairing, I tell you. As you wait, have you been able to suss out other XOs in your community? You'll want to put them together right away to really 'get' their unique capabilities.

I had a long wait for mine, too - it came about a week ago. I had some trouble at first hooking up to our Mac wireless at home, but thanks to some very generous people having written up some notes at the wiki online at OLPC, I was able to do it - writing my very own first LInux command. The community sense of help notes at the wiki really impressed me.

Anyway, it's a delightful machine and a real treat - we ordered one for me and one for my husband's grandson who is coming to visit us soon, and I'm looking forward to having the two paired, just as Jane said, at least for while we have our special guest. I live out in a rural area where there are no other glimmers of XOs but I hope that when he takes his back home to Omaha he will find some other XO users. If not, it's still got great features for music, images and so on. I was really impressed!

My plan is to write some special materials for the XO this summer. I wish I had more time for it now!!! :-)

I experienced the very same thing.."Is it here yet???" Very much like those kids in the back of the car asking are we there yet??? My Xo was donated to me by Frank off the OLPC news network. It is now in the loving hands of Joey a LD student in my building making a huge difference in his life. The last I heard from OLPC is that mine is dueto be shipped by the end of March beginning of April. Since they are now going to sell to schools in the US I am hoping they get their shipping ordering issues worked out. It's a great little machine-they just need to improve their ordering shipping process.
