Is anybody familiar w/ this online app? It looks great for sharing online presentations/slideshows. You've probably all done online trainings before where what you see on the screen is what the presenter is showing you. Well, now u can do it here for free.
PS, Firefox 3.0 is now out of beta mode and fully launched (it just messes up extensions, so be careful), a very fast browser, I've been using it for 2 months and very happy w/ it.
I use Zoho extensively in my Systems Engineering class ...
to teach Databases and Programming and also to get students to turn in their assignments ..
For ideas go to http://klass.wiki.zoho.com/Order-Management-System.html
I have played a bit with zoho spreadsheets and presentation. I find it is a little harder to do things then in powerpoint but I think that there is a learning curve. Next year I will use it more and have students do more projects with these. I also use google docs for students to collaborate on projects. Easy to use.
I've used their database and its forms utilities to setup a registration system for our recent Heritage Fair. All I was trying to do was get the information into a spreadsheet. 335 kids later it worked like a charm with nary a hitch. I was incredibly impressed by it all.
Zoho is great! i like the notebook. it allows you to add video, audio, text, images and more. You can export and share. Very nice tools here. The meeting feature is also very nice. I love zoho and so do my students.
