Anyone use Nings for Student Council or School Newspapers?

Hi everyone,

I've signed on as Student Council advisor for our middle school next year and am thinking about using a Ning as a central gathering place, planning area, digital citizenship training ground, and learning community. Anyone out there doing this already? Advice? Caveats?

Similarly, I've been eyeing the Student Newspaper advisor gig as well, and was thinking a Ning would be INCREDIBLE as a student publishing platform. Anyone out there doing that?
