Reading with Meaning
I am wondering about Debbie's reference to the students having notebooks for entries...are these notebooks the same as a reading response journal?? What would they look like inside?? I love her book Reading with Meaning...

I have read this book and loved it! Unfortunately, it's in my classroom right now, so I really can't directly answer your question. I THINK that she is meaning response journals--doesn't the book have a color picture section in the middle of it? Are the pictures of the students using the journals?
Great choice for a summer read!
