I teach gifted students and need books that are meaty, have advanced vocabulary and themes and are really new or old! If the books have been in the elementary school libraries my kids have already read them. As we are preparing for the new year I'm deciding what we will read together. I'm considering two books Eager by Helen Fox or The Book Without Words by Avi. Has anyone read either one? What did you think?

We set up book discussions using high level questions on Moodle or I incorporate the books into a curriculum (see here) Let me know if you are interested in visiting the Moodle book discussions. I'll get the password to you.

Hi Nancy,
Sorry, I haven't read either of those books and any that I can think of off the top of my head would be ones that have been out for a couple of years. (Artemis Fowl being one of my favorites.)

I'd love to see your Moodle book discussion site. Please do share.

Thank you,
Michelle TG
