Looking for middle schoolers for Skype project

I'm looking for a middle school class that would be willing to Skype with my 5th- and 6th-grade science students regularly (weekly? monthly?) throughout the school year. Ideally, I'd like each student to have a partner in another school. The partnered students could use Skype and Google aps (or a wiki) to complete some sort of collaborative project. I teach in the Central City area of New Orleans and would like to expose my students to people of different backgrounds and cultures. I have kids from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST every week day.

I am also interested in skype dialogue or debate with my students. We are also looking for a class to share in our blogging. Please let me know if you are interested. It has been difficult to find anyone willing. I teach 8th grade U.S. history. We are willing to collaborate asap.

I just signed up with Skype and want to do this. I teach 6th grade science. I will be back later to check. email me so we can do a lesson and compare results with each other. I live in Miami Beach, FL.

I'm a Grade 7 teacher in New Brunswick, Canada. I only have 3 months left of school this year, and I'm not really sure what I will be teaching in the fall. I'd be interested in a short-term collaboration with a social studies emphasis, if someone were interested and had some ideas too.

Sorry I didn't connect with anyone for this project last year -- we had some issues with our equipment, etc. And this year, I'm no longer teaching. But I hope some of the responders to this post have been/will be able to connect.

I teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade science in the San Francisco Bay Area. I would love to skype with you and your kids. I would be happy to use skype regularly in my classroom. We have the technology available and I would be very interested in hearing more about what you wanted to do. I have 6th grade at 9 - 11 am PST so it may work for you.

I am a 7th grade social studies teacher from Milwaukee, WI. I know this a really old post, and I believe you're no longer at this school, however I was looking for a teacher in an area that was hit by Hurricane Katrina to have my 7th grade class Skype with. Would you know anyone from the New Orleans area that may be interested? I would really appreciate any help you may be able to offer.
