As a K-8 teacher-librarian who collaborates with classroom teachers, I am interested in implementing Mac's iLife Suite in student learning activities. If you use iMovie, iPhoto, iDVD, iWeb, or Garage Band, please share!

This software is extremely easy to use and the kids love creating their projects using all of the applications. I am amazed at what they come up with and the motivation to research a topic, organize it into an iMovie presentation and present to their classmates is unprecedented. If you need some help getting started, there are video tutorials for all of the applications on Apple's web site. Unfortunately, my district does not have nor will even consider Macs for our schools (long story) I have tried to find a Windows application that is similar, but nothing comes close.
Hi Celia,

So interesting but not surprising that bullying is more prevalent that predators. I teach my 5th-7th grade students about how to be safe online and we touch upon both topics. I think I'll be delving deeper into bullying with them now.

I have used wikis with my students as a social/collaborative learning space and have set it up similar to yours. Although I have not come across any outright bullying cases, I have noticed different social dynamics b/t kids when they are online vs. in class. Apparently, etiquette is not enough when teaching about online safety.
Hi there,

Hi there - just joined Classroom 2.0 and am excited about the possibilities! I've been an apple 1:1 teacher for three years - and love using their products. If you're interested, I've got a blog where I'm sharing how I use tech to support rich Inquiry Project. For example, I just completed a post about using garageband to record self-assessments. Please come check it out: http://thinkinginmind.blogspot.com/

Thanks!
