Electronic Portfolios for Students

I am interested in utilizing a Web 2.0 application that would allow for the creation of student ePortfolios. I have heard that Pearl is an open source software that allows for this, but I am not sure of the ease of use or any limitations. If anyone has any thoughts on Pearl or any other suggestions, it would really be appreciated!

Donna, have you looked at Yacapaca yet? It is free, hosted, and designed exclusively to meet the needs of school students. Yacapaca is best known for its animated quizzes, but the ePortfolio features are equally sophisticated. I would be very happy to show you around if that would be helpful.
