I plan on participating in the K12 Online Conference coming up this October. Here's a little information for you about this unique opportunity.

K12 Online 2008- Amplifying Possibilities
Worldwide Online Conference for K-12 Educators

Announcing the launch of the third annual “K12 Online 2008″ convention for teachers, administrators and educators around the world interested in innovative ways Web 2.0 tools and technologies can be used to improve learning. This year’s conference, which is free to everyone, begins with a pre-conference keynote the week of October 13, 2008. The following two weeks, October 20-24 and October 27-31, forty presentations will be posted online to the conference blog, http://www.k12onlineconference.org, for participants to download and view at their own convenience. Live Events in the form of three “Fireside Chats” and a culminating “When Night Falls” event will be held. The theme of this year’s conference is “Amplifying Possibilities.”

There will be four “conference strands”– two each week. Two presentations will be published in each strand each day. Four new presentations will be available each day over the course of the two-weeks. Each presentation will be given in podcast or screencast format and released via the conference blog.

Please note that this translates into a conference that is free of both charge and time constraints. All sessions are free and because they are all archived and downloadable, sessions may be viewed at any time or any place.

This sounds like a great opportunity for more learning. Again, since it's free and doesn't have any time constraints, it should be a no-brainer for you to at least check out! I've attached a flyer that contains a little more information. You could always check out the conference website for more info - K12 Online Conference.
