Your story book wiki is great! My fourth graders are in the middle of a fiction unit and I'd love for them to contribute to your wiki. Where can I find the log in information? Melissa

Hi Melissa
You can Join the Space by clicking on Join this Space on the left hand side of the wiki. You will need to supply a username, password and email address.
Your students can register individually without an email address. Kids love to have their own identify on the wiki as opposed to a whole class username and password. Simply send me a list of their usernames and passwords and I will register them.
Send the list like this
username, password

Hi Rebecca!
Your storybookipedia wiki is great! I am a fourth grade teacher and am excited to look at it a little closer! I love it! I am actually involved in a Technology grant with one of your colleagues at EastConn and have just joined classroom 2.0 as a way to make things fun and interesting for my students along the way! I love how you have things organized on the wiki and was wondering if you've ever used shelfari or have had a use for it with your storybookipedia wiki? I'd love to add you as a colleague! I'm pretty sure you've worked closely with my current building principal as well! We actually may have met at aa literacy conference in Providence and shared lunch come to think of it! Hi Kim
I am not familiar with shelfari! Please tell me more. If you have any ideas for Storybookipedia, I'd love your input. I am hoping that it will take a life of its own but I need to set it up in a way that people will begin to see that it the content is created by them, not me! Any ideas on how I can do that?

What grant are you involved with?

I've added some features to Storybookipedia that were inspired by Shelfari. Thanks for pointing me in that direction!!! Please check it out at http://storybookipedia.sblc.wikispaces.net/ and let me know what you think..I added a My Page, a tag cloud, Groups, and Add a Group.

You said you teach 4th grade. Do your kids read the Nutmeg books? Have you seen the Spice it up a notch with Nutmeg is a wiki ? Check it out at
