I'm Dave Black from Highlands Ranch, CO. I'm technology coordinator and teacher at a preschool through 8th grade Lutheran school. I'm hopeful that this network will become an important part of my own Personal Learning Network (PLN) as I lead my students toward effective utilization of Web 2.0 tools for education, productivity, and ministry.
Hi everyone!

I'm Janna and I'm from Connecticut. I just took a new position as an Elementary Literacy/Math Coordinator for my district. I'm excited to learn about using more 2.0 applications in my district.
HI Janna
I am right up the road in Massachusetts, but I grew up in Connecticut.

Hi
Welcome

Hi everybody. I'm Jason Cummings from Milford, CT.
I'm Jared from Corvallis Oregon. I've recently completed some web based software that I want to introduce to teachers. It's a general use application that I think is best suited for classes and undergraduate level or greater students. Probably the best way to think about the software at first is as an online portfolio where students can organize and discuss their course, notes, and assignments. There are also very powerful security settings that are perfect for collaborative projects and private class discussions.

We're branding the offering as a "Social Desktop." A Social Desktop is a web application that allows anyone to create, share, and discuss content for both private and public use. Security settings are completely user defined. Your desktop can be entirely private and closed off to the entire world, or completely open, like a blog. The security settings are so refined that any part of your desktop can be defined exactly as you choose. Most importantly you have complete control over any content on your own desktop, or shared by another user. I hope I'll be able to start up a dialog with many of you so we can determine the best application of this software for you classrooms and students.

Hello all, I'm Cameron Campbell out of Montreal, Canada.

I do web dev at Concordia, but my real passion are the possibilities for education offered up by Web 2.0.

My biggest interest is looking at the gap between leisure and classroom content delivery.
I'm Heather Blanton from Wise County, VA! I'm new to ning and look forward to collaborating with each of you!
Hi. I'm from Bullcreek in Western Australia. I have been looking at a way to set up a website or something so my class and parents have access to what we are doing and a blog looks like being the way to go. I am new to all of this and have found lots of good ideas so far at Classroom 2.0.
