My name is John Calvert. I'm an ed tech specialist for the elementary grades in Tarrytown, N.Y. I'm excited to participate in the discussions I've seen going on here at Classroom 2.0. This looks like a wonderfully insightful, vibrant, and supportive community.
HOwdy All.

I'm Brian from Bellingham, WA. I teach grade 8 science at Shuksan Middle School but this year I am off as a "teacher on special assignment" for a science education grant. I have tried to find ways of using technology with my science students, and last year, with a wikispace and classblogmeister, I had some minor successes in integrating the kids' intrinsic interest and savvy in technology with their science learning. This year, even though I'm not in the building, I am hoping that our school can use a ning social network for our student and committee communications!
Hello All, My name is Kay McNulty; I'm a middle school technology coordinator from a small urban New Jersey school district. I'm looking forward to collaborating within this forum - from what I've read so far there is a wealth of information to be shared!
Hello everyone! I work in adult education for the Division of Adult and Career Education of the Los Angeles Unified School District. I teach ESL to adult immigrant students and I teach their teachers about integrating technology into the classroom. I blog about my technology experiences at http://www.tech4esl.blogspot.com. My class homepage is at http://www.pageflakes.com/barry.bakin/12217248
Greetings. My name is Doug Brockbank. Great topic. Important stuff. Look forward to learning and sharing.
Hi, I'm Mark Ahlness, a third grade teacher in Seattle, Washington, USA - right now on the brink of starting up another year teaching at Arbor Heights Elementary. Follow along with my new (and old) groups of bloggers at roomtwelve.com. This place looks real promising!
Hi Everyone,

My name is Ravi from San Jose, CA. Just interested in web 2.0 and social networking, and this looked like a great place to learn about them. Happy to be here!

Ravi
Hi. I'm a writer and multimedia content developer for an educational publishing company based in Auckland New Zealand. I'm also an ex-teacher and teacher-librarian with a strong interest in the learning applications of digital technologies, especially for K-6 students and for the professional development of teachers. Classroom 2.0 looks like an excellent place for me to catch up with how web 2.0 is impacting on education.
Hi, my name is Kelly Rogers. I live in Port Hueneme, CA. I am a military spouse and the mother of four beautiful children. I am a graduate from Old Dominion University. I received my bachelor's in education. I currently teach my children at home but am considering sending them to school. I am taking a computer class to help get recertified. I am being challenged in this adventure but it is a fun challenge.
I'm currently our info systems manager at Marist Regional College, teacher of sundry computing subjects, various religion subjects, and I'm keen to see some learning tools which require student engagement and reflection - in particular with our Senior College Units on ethics and ethical controversies and science and the religion. (Formal) strings to my bow are physics, mathematics, philosophy, education, theology and computer science.
John Wordsworth from the UK.

I am an ex-teacher but still working in education running an online project called the "ICT Register", an idea for schools to help other schools with ICT.
Greetings from Hannibal, Missouri. As busy as we teachers are, I found time to sign up for another online venture! Looks very interesting in this space and I hope to learn and contribute. I use classroom blogs, video, wikis, internet projects, e-mail...anything to keep the attention of the kids.

Terry
