Hi Pete,

You are the first person I've heard on any forum talk about TRIZ. I first learned about this almost 8 years ago and it has inspired much of my thinking and work on the internet. I encourage you to browse the Process Improvement, Innovation and collaboration LINKS Library at http://www.tutormentorconnection.org/TMLearningNetwork/LinksLibrary...

TRIZ is just one of the ideas I point to. Why? While my organization focuses on making more and better non-school tutoring, mentoring and learning organizations avaiable to disadvantaged kids, that will not happen until more people learn to use concepts like TRIZ to learn how others are solving similar problems in different places, and how they can innovate their own solutions based on what they learn from others.

If we can teach others to apply these concepts to problem solving, we can do more to address some of the problems we face in this world and do more to help our kids have high paying careers in the future.

Hi Everyone

George F. Washington here. Former English teacher; former football, basketball and baseball coach; former forensics, debate and academic competition coach; former building administrator; Current Director of Technology for FCPS is South Central Virginia.
In 1969, my first year as a middle school teacher in Brooklyn, NY, I conducted my first technology workshop on the use of...overhead projectors. In more recent years, I was a staff developer for the NYC Department of Education's Office of Instructional Technology. I gave workshops suggesting ways to integrate technology into the classroom. Now that I've retired, I still like to give workshops, write articles, and keep up with a blog.

Greetings,
I am a fifth grade teacher at Oakland International Academy in Detroit, Michigan. I am an avid fan of technology and tend to be the "alpha geek" at my school. My interests include digital photography, geocaching, Scouting (17 summers at Lost Lake Scout Reservation in Clare, MI) and juggling. I am interested in helping my school learn to integrate technology into all areas and to improve my skills as well.
Hi everyone. I'm Lisa Harrison and I teach second grade at the University of Chicago Laboratory School. I am very interested in Web 2.0 and finding ways to integrate technology into my curriculum. This year, I hope to get my students blogging.
I am currently teaching 8th grade English and Social Studies and am passionate about integrating technology. Our district is going through a technology revision and this is a great time for us to become more "cutting edge". I need to find out what that is and how we can accomplish that!
Hello! I am Rachel. I teach in Milltown, NJ, USA. I am glad to be here also. I teach Art and Technology grades 1-3. I can't wait to learn from all of you and share my ideas as well.
Hi everyone. My name is Tami and I live in Ohio. I'm a Children's Librarian at a smaller public library in Grafton, OH. I'm also the library's webmaster. After attending a short workshop on Web 2.0, I've been enlisted to learn as much as I can about using Web 2.0 for Libraries. I'd be very interested in learning any new ideas (as simple as it gets) from anyone who might be going through the same. I'm really hoping to learn a lot of new info from everyone since I'm such a newcomer to this. :-)
Hello all, I'm Mike from Philadelphia Pa. I teach science and love the new possibilities created by 2.0. With that said, I think that I found the right place...
I am a student at Western Governors University. I am working on a Masters in Education and will start my student teaching in September 2008.

Years ago I created training modules and internal websites for a major corporation. I also created my own online learning websites using opensource programs including aTutor and Moodle.

I am very interested in learning more about Web 2.0 and collaborative technologies in learning.
