Hello everyone,
My name is Vanessa from Melbourne Victoria.
I am a graduate teacher so I am new to the profession and to blogs, tweets etc. But I am looking forward to getting involved to improve my teaching practice and engagement of my students.
My name is Lisa and I'm from Arkansas. I just joined today and I'm interested in how this site works!
Hey all!
My name is Amanda and I work across government schools in Northern Victoria Australia. I am interested in making the links between student wellbeing in education and technology. We have just begun a ning http://clickonwellbeing.ning.com/ to connect up people who are interested in wellbeing in schools. We are looking at restorative justice, drug education, austism spectrum disorder, ethcial digital citizenship and student engagement currently with other pratice areas like sexuality education and truama informed practice to come.
I have been thinking about how to help to develop and re-inforce empathy in students using the web as a conduit - would love some ideas and links to tools or directions to a group that might already exsist here that looks at things like that...
Hi, my name is Robert and I'm working on an European project between schools. The aim is that students will teach the teachers about useful tools one can use in the classroom. Students will enhance their English, their digital skills will increase and their selfesteem will get a boost. Have a look at http://ict4u-project.eu
Reactions are more then welcome.
Kind regards,
Robert
Hello fellow teachers,
I just joined and am still a bit curious as to what exactly "Web 2.0" is all about, but I'm anxious to find out. I'm an English and theatre teacher anxious to find ways in which technology can make learning more authentic and meaningful for students and ways in which it can make me a more efficient and effective teacher.
Looking forward to seeing all this site has to offer,
Miranda
Hello Everyone!
My name is Sandy. I teach 8th grade Math and language arts in Chicago, Illinois. I'm really hoping to learn about Ning and incorporate it into my math and reading classes this coming September. I really want to get familiar with many of the ways to use tech. in my classroom. This will be my summer project this year. I like Ning because I invite who is there but I wonder if I can also make it private so some things come just to me and everyone on the site is not able to see it? Any help from everyone will be greatly appreciated as I take on this adventure!
My name is Carolyn Pepe and I live in Irvine, CA. I just received my Master's Degree in Education. During my Master's program we spent a lot of time (three semesters) learning how to integrate technology into the curriculum. I would often post during my Master's program that using technology scares me, but I was willing to learn more. I joined this and other technology websites to learn more about meaningful ways to integrating technology successfully into the classroom.
I am currently looking for a full time position in order to share all of the wonderful things I have learned throughout my continued education.
