Hi Everyone,

Mona here, from Norway!

Thanks for providing such an excellent platform making it easy to share.

Glad to be here!

Hi Classroom 2.0 members. My name is Lenka and I am classical philologist. I come from Macedonia but I live and work in Serbia as a Latin teacher. I am very happy to take part in this virtual classroom. I am sure that I will learn something new and (very important) I will practice English language. :)

I am Dick Cornell, Professor Emeritus in Instructional Technology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando and also Adjunct Professor in the Educational Technology program at the University of Texas at Brownsville.

I retired from UCF in 2003 following 44 years there, minus 18 months spent at Riverina College of Adanced Education in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia. In 2005 I was a Fulbright Secior Specialist at the Aerospace University in Karkov, Ukraine. It was my honor to hyave been the first American President of the International Council for Educational Media, a UNESCO NGO.

For the past several years I have been teaching a class for the University of Texas at Brownsville, eLearning International Issues and since 2008 have been teaching that class on-location in Taiwan and China, via Blackboard, wandering around and connecting twice each week back to Texas. Next year, when I turn 80 will most likely be the final summer of teaching the class and hopefully I will be doing so once more from Taiwan and China.

While I have been teaching with and about instructional design and  eLearning most of my academic life I find the increasing complexity involved in using the various connective technologies is moving far more quickly than I am able to comfortable maintain the current skills  needed to do a really good job, thus my continuing interest in trying to stay updated.

The attached photo was taken this past May in Lhasa, one of the remaining spots to visit while my health still permits such strenuous travel.  It was, in a word, awesome!

I look forward to enjoying learning with all of you!

Dick

Hi from Boise ID! I am glad to be a part of this PLN. I look forward to sharing with and learning from everyone.

Hi everyone,

Finally I have been admitted to classroom 2.0. It promises great, I am impressed. I hope to be able to help and I am much eager. I am much interested in this topic of networking and connectivism. As far as I can see, this is the only initial development to the education sector. A lot positive development will come from here, you agree? Me yes and I am positive.

about me, well, I have been a teacher for 11 years now in Mauritius. I am sad to see pupils being disconnected from us. I want to be an ideal teacher and I want the teaching profession to improve, to be in line with our students 'exigencies'. I am happy to be of this decenny where changes are being forecast and I do hope they will not stay on paper - in our case, on the website.

I am actually following my MEd course where I have learnt all about connectivism, about 21st century globalisation, about psychology, etc.

Well here I am. Can anyone tell me in brief how I can help, how I can participate, etc.

Hope to hear from you soon,

Bye

Fee Min.

I love this room...people from all over the world collaborating in the pursuit of better teaching!

I found a free offer that will be in place for the month of August in honor of "Connected Educators Month"

This company is offering to let teachers take one of their online Professional Development courses at no cost.

Hello Everyone!

My name is Donna Karno and I am a faculty in Early Childhood Education at University of Maine at Farmington.  My family moved to Maine three years ago - I am originally from Phoenix so I guess I must like temperature extremes.

Finding this site was great as our undergraduate and graduate students think about using web 2.0 in their classrooms.  I am also interested in contacting anyone currently using web 2.0 in their science classrooms as I work on a manuscript focusing on science education and web-based technologies.

Hello, I am a Technology Teacher in a k-4 school in New Jersey. I have been in this position for 5 years, and am always looking for new ideas.

be welcome. Me also I am new in this website but I have similar aims as yours. Hope we can share a lot.

Hi all!

Carlos Reyes. Esl Teacher in Colombia, South America. I coordinate a Multimedia Room at my school. I love Educational Technology. I would like to keep in touch with you guys!

Hello all, I am from New Zealand. I work in a Primary School Library as a Librarian Assistant. I've been there for 16 years. I have other duties within the school e.g. ICT, Office Administration. I was curious about this course so I joined.

Hi, I am an elementary school Library teacher in MA. I teach in two different schools and have about 29 classes a week. Both schools have a computer lab that we sign up for. We also have a cart of HP mini's. New things that I am hoping to try this year are blogging and skype.
