It is great to join you all on web 2.0

Hello,

Joined in 2010 and was a bit confused and befuddled about all of this! Trying to reconnect and refine all I have learned in the past few years of self study, blogging and lurking in the shadows here and on Twitter.

Hello

my name is Mamadou Samba Ndomg and I am an English teacher. I am a beginner in the site. I can say that I know nothing about that but I am really interested so as to improve my ICT and using networking

Hey everybody! I'm a reading specialist from a tiny little school in Illinois. I'm glad I found this site!

My name is Lori Chase and I am a third grade teacher in Harford County Public Schools. I have been teaching for 14 years. I have taught several grades levels: second, third, fourth and fifth. One of my goals as an educator is to teach every grade level, preK-5. I teach in a rural community and I love my current teaching position. I also taught in a suburban area for my first 8 years of teaching.

Currently, I am taking a class that will help me to become proficient with Standard II of the Maryland Teacher Technology Standards referencing Communication issues. This standard requires teachers to demonstrate an understanding of the effective and appropriate use of electronic communication, and to use technology to communicate information in a variety of formats. It also requires that teachers demonstrate an understanding of the legal, social, and ethical issues related to technology use.

I have learned so many new things while taking this online class about Web 2.0 that I didn't know existed. I see as an educator the importance of incorporating these tools in my daily instruction but with limited technology available, I find it a challenge.
