Hi Marielle
Your area of research is exactly what many of us are looking for to support/help inform what we do. Blogging, wikis, and digital storytelling have become really valuable tools for many teachers.
Hello-I am an Assistant Principal in Alabama. I hope by joining this site and modeling new technology that my teachers will feel more comfortable using technology.
Ammie, I applaud your effort. Administrators using and explaining whats, whys, and hows of what they are doing with educational technology is a great. Classroom 2.0 is a great place to start for many who are new to the whole thing. Best of luck!
Hey everyone. This is Matt McGoldrick from Frederick, MD. I am a 5th grade teacher for Montgomery County Public Schools. I am hoping to use some Web 2.0 technologies this year with my class. I really need some direction in creating a class wiki (layout, typical requirements etc.); I also wanted to find out if anyone has used a social networking site such as Ning with their classes. Thanks in advance for your help and I look forward to learning from everyone.
Hi, I'm Roz & I need some ideas. I've been teaching history & sociology for 23 years in Dearborn, MI. I want to learn some ways to incorporate new technology into my classroom---not just IN the classroom, but outside the classroom as well. Anything to get kids more involved!
If you've got ideas, I'm ready to listen.
Hi Rosalind!

I am also a social studies teacher and this past year began using podcasting in my class as a review tool. We created "masterycasts" and you can see them in the Ancient World history and US History sections of my website-www.masterymaze.com.

It was a very successful project. The students downloaded them to their iPods and other players, while some just accessed them on the site. You can also have the students write the scripts or do the podcasts themselves.

I had 100% passing on the NYS regents exam and I think the podcasts really helped. I serve needy inclusion classes, and the students felt better able to tackle the tests with the ability to access me 24/7!

Hi all,

I'm Jamie. I've lived in the SF Bay Area all of my life (well... except the first two years and while I was in the Army.) I work at St. Ignatius College Prep in San Francisco and teach nights at the Castro Valley Adult School.

For the most part, I'm a Mac and FileMaker Pro expert, but my business card says "Business Analyst and Mac Guru".
I have looked at classroom2.0 but just never found the need to sign up. I use facebook for my personal networking, but wasn't sure about using this as professional networking, so I'm excited and interested to see the possibilities.

I work on school improvement projects for a district just outside Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I also do consulting for different organizations, and to do writing and speaking nationally and internationally on topics like differentiated instruction, technology in education and adult facilitation strategies.

I am the proud momma to two amazing teenagers. For fun, I like to hang out at Fry's and gaze at the shiny gadgets, golf, ski and read.

I'm also at NECC for the first time ever, and I'm enjoying it! I'm a little distressed with how my hair is getting exponentially bigger as the days go by in San Antonio. I'm afraid I'm going to take someone's eye out.
I'm Jeff Johnson, technology coordinator in the Glendale-River Hills School District in Glendale, WI. I have a great life partner, 2 dogs, 3 semi-grown chiildren, a bicycle and still love working in schools afyer having done so for more than 20 years.

I've been an educator since 1983 and involved in technology leadership and advocacy -- in an official capacity, at least -- since 1996.

I'm originally from Minnesota and made it to Wisconsin via Missouri (78-83) and Florida (83-86).
Hi. My name is Jen. I teach Geometry and Algebra 2 in Louisiana
HI All,

I'm Christine I'm going to be teaching 6th Grade technology this year. I've had my Master's Degree in Learning Technologies/ Educational Technology since 1997, the internet was just starting to be used in the classrooms, besides mine, at that time.

I live in NJ, I am married, and have 2 children. I taught for 10 years as an elementary classroom teacher, and staff development instructor, and then I decided to stay home with my children for a few years. During my time as a SAHM(stay at home mom), I ran an internet business, so I've returned to teaching last Sept. I've been a member of a number of social networking forums related to my internet business, so I'm looking forward to connecting with other educators and how they use technology.

Glad to find the site since I'll be teaching technology this year! I'm looking forward to 2.0!
Hi everyone!
I'm a teacher of gifted student in Birmingham, AL. This was soooo easy to join since I already had an NING account with my HS alumni site. I'm looking to learn more.... I'm just starting to learn about SL but seem to be walking in circles and teleporting to empty sites:)
