Hi there,

I'm a former 4th grade teacher who still supports elementary school teachers. I'd love to connect with K-5 teachers who use web 2.0 technologies with other teachers, students, or parents. Is there anything going on at this level? I'm curious to find out. Thanks!

Hello there!
I am Muthanna Mohammed Sultan, from Iraq. I am a teacher in College of Education, University of Baghdad. My own field is English Literature. I like teaching, poetry, psychology, and history. I believe in cooperative learning, creative thinking, and integrating technology in both learning and education.
Hello every one, Brian Kays here from Pomona California. I am a science teacher with a PE degree who has taught at every major level of schooling. Fortunately I found one I enjoy, the high school level. I am always looking for new ideas in the classroom to best help my girls (I teach at an all girls High School) learn.

I am big on project based learning and believe that girls (especially in Physics) need more hands on experience in creation and application of concepts.

Hope to get a lot out of this site.

Brian

Hi Everyone,

HI All,
Happy Monday. So glad I found this site already gotten some valuable tips. I'm Tech. Teacher at Charter High School in the inner city of Los Angeles. I really want to use google apps. However, school does not have domain name. I plan on purchasing one. I've been told you can get more than 200 email accounts from it. I've also heard that to sign students up to the site, its best to use excel spread sheets to organize. I'm not a excel buff at all. Can anyone give me a step by step walk though on how one can add a large batch of names to Google apps to create student emails.
Thank you in advance
Eric
Hooked up to classroom 2.0. to learn and keep abreast of topical issues affecting edcuation. Based in the UK this exchange will help me write objective articles on education as seen by the "outsider" looking in. No axe to grind and no scared areas to avoid. Great believer that education needs a radical shake up to take advantage of technology and prepare for the global markets our children will face in employment.

I am a 7th and 8th grade English teacher looking to incorporate more technology in my classroom. I am looking for some great ideas, and I hope to share some ideas someday too.
Hi all,

What a great online meeting place. I live in New York City but come originally from Michigan.

Last year my colleagues and I started a social venture with funding from the MacArthur Foundation that encourages civic participation through online and mobile technologies. We are currently looking for teachers interested in prototyping a unique web platform for service-based learning and issue-based social networking Spring 2010 (K8-12). The system is open ended but we have a basic clean water curriculum with content provided by The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting and technology by Fractor, Inc. that is short and flexible.

More at: http://fractor.org/our-services/educators/

Our goal is to complete the interface through an agile development process that allows teachers and students to shape the final interface to best serve their needs. I'm attaching a more detailed description.

You can contact me at: ben@fractor.org

Hi Ben: I'm a homeschool mom (7th grader) and my son is an artist who is studying film and architecture. He's also been taught on a 'global perspective' so he likes to keep up with global news. He's concerned about environmental issues and animal rights issues. He likes the idea of the world moving toward green technology/energy and I think he would enjoy your site. I posted the link to your site on my FB page so I have it on hand and my friends can also check it out. I, personally, don't know much about setting up websites, my husband created our homeschool site www.monarchrock.com but I did create my FB page. I am interested in connecting with others on a 'global level'...it's a wonderful way to learn more about others as well as ourselves!
Hi Everyone, Carolyn here from Portland Maine. I work part time teaching college math classes. Also enjoy math tutoring when I occasionally have the opportunity to do that. I'm looking for opportunities to learn from other educators and benefit from your experience and discussions. I'm new and learning my way around so I welcome any tips. Thanks
