Hello!  I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Higher Ed and adult learning through Walden University, and am teaching part time at CA State University, Fullerton in the Kinesiology dept.  I am looking for new ways to get the students active in the courses I teach by introducing them to the resources they have at their fingertips online.  Recently, I began a facebook page for a course with positive feedback from the students, but I want to do more.  If anyone is also in the Higher Ed realm and would like to share some ideas I would be appreciative and excited to collaborate.
My name is Tom Stanley and I am from Las Vegas, Nevada. I am currently an instructor at the Advanced Technologies Academy and have helped build an on online school in Las Vegas, Nevada. My passion is using technology to help improve th learning of my students in a project-based learning environment. What I discovered while teaching and being an online instructional designer is that you can use project-based learning in the online and blended learning envvironments. I have helped build professional development for online teacherrs/students, worked with teachers to building online classes that are interactive and project oriented, and done multiple online/realtime activities using synchronous and asynchronous tools in an online and real time environment.  I am currently still teaching and am building a company to work with schools/ groups to create effective PBL projects that are local, state, national and international in scope.

Hi,

My name is Trevor, I'm from Limerick in Ireland and now I'm working and living in Dublin. I teach History, English and ICT in an all boys secondary school with students ranging in ages from 13 to 18.

I love technology and try to use it in both the teaching and learning that happens in my school. This year I've started a school news blog with students as the 'journalists' and we are in the process of introducing Google Apps to the school.

I'd like to expand my knowledge and use of web 2.0 and expand my PLN. You can find me on twitter @ConnollyTrevor

Trevor- thanks see you in twitter
Im from California
