Hello from Bulgaria!

Nice to meet you !

My name is Nina Zhelezarova and i am primary teacher.

I like new technoly and i want to know  more for  new inovation education programme for children in the class

My name is Mary Lee Newman.  I'm a mom of three and elementary teacher on the Monterey Peninsula in California.  I went to the Learning and the Brain Conference in San Francisco in February, heard Tony Wagner speak, sat next to a wonderful technology director for a middle school in Chicago who told me about some amazing ways her school is integrating web 2.0 tools in the classroom, and I am very excited to try some new things in my classroom.

I am a definite digital immigrant, but have my 15 year old son and husband to help me.  It also turns out that my students are pretty savvy.  One of my first new projects was for my third grade class to do oral history clips on Garage Band.  Two of my students had older siblings who us GarageBand all the time and they worked out the bugs the first day.  My next project is a space unit on "Are We Alone?" starting next week.  My goal is to get our Schoolyard Solar System walk, reports, posters, and oral presentations in a publicly presentable format so that we can share with other third grades.  All advice is welcome!

Wow - it sounds like you have some really cool ideas!  Awesome!

Hello from Bulgaria !

Nice to meet you !

I am too primary teacher and i want to learn for new inovation method  for a chlildren in class.

I will be glad to communication with you for a new technology in class.

My name is Doug Lawslo and I live in Lake Havasu City, AZ. I am a teacher that has had the dubious honor of creating a technology program that has grown to the point where I have had to leave the classroom and become full-time technology coordinator. When I accepted the job I envisioned working closely with teachers to assist their technology integration along with managing the 180+ computers and our 3 networks. Sadly, I have met with resistance from many of my colleagues because, I believe, of their own technological insecurities. I seem to be viewed more as a threat than a resource.
I am now working desperately to get back in the classroom so I can at least prepare my students for the myriad challenges that will face them in our ever-increasing technologically based world. I believe the two greatest challenges facing education today are the shunting aside of modern-day Jeremiahs wondering the wilderness of technological illiteracy and a focus on teaching instead of learning.
Hey Doug, I think what your doing is great!  In time, everyone should, hopefully, become more comfortable with the technology and you will be able to spend more quality time with your students =)
