And we're glad to have you part of this! Hope you have fun exploring!
Hey, y'all, I'm Shelley, and I am a storyteller and a matchmaker, both by inclination and profession. At this point in my life, that means that I work as a college counselor in an independent school in New Jersey's Delaware Valley (USA). I spend my autumns coaching essay-writing, my winters modeling and preaching patience and perspective, my springs getting to know a new group of students as I help them get to know themselves, and my summers falling in serial platonic crush with each of my rising seniors as I write letters in support of their candidacy for university admission. I sometimes blog about my work at At home, I am happily partnered and the mother of an inspiringly curious 6 year-old. Those hijinks are chronicled at and a list of my current fave e-learning toys tools is here:
Hi, Shelley. Welcome! Hope you have a good experience here. Love the toys/tools list. :)
Thanks, Steve... seems like this is going to be a great place to hang out and learn. Thanks, too, for the ups on my list... I think Jane's really got a good thing going on with that project. (
Hi All,
My name is Shmuly Tennenhaus. I live in Seattle, Washington. Steve H. suggested I sign up here.
Welcome Shmuly,

This is a great place to join. I have been part of Classroom 2.0 for about 5 months and have found the network incredibly valuable. I see you have made a good start so far.

Thanks for the invite. My wall is still naked though. This site is pretty functional for an education site. very impressive.
Hello all,
Daniel Nicholson from Atlanta, Ga. I am a former Corp I.T. manager who recently made the jump to Educational Technology. I work for a smaller school system who is VERY tech challenged.
Tons of cutting edge tech but poor implementation and no technology plan or vision. I am looking to collaborate with other professionals.
HI Daniel
Like you, I made a jump from the corporate world to the education world. I think you will find some like-minded folks here at CR 2.0. One piece of advice I can give you is not to expect things will run the way they did in the corporate field. They should, but usually don't. I've found I have to suggest, advocate for, and push the big things, but focus on the small things that make a difference in the day-to-day lives of students and staff. They have to see the reason why using the technology is worth it to meet needs. The work will pay off in time!
I'm a 49 year old Singaporean teacher involved in Gifted Ed for the past 23 years. I teach English, research skills and Civics/Moral Education. Hope to learn from and together with all of you.
Welcome aboard, I also teach gifted kiddos. You might check out the gifted network at
Welcome William. Learning and sharing is what we're all about. I think you'll find this is a great to place to be.
