I tried youtube.com, video.google.com, blip.tv, esnips.com to host videos
produced by me. But I am not satisfied with their playback quality after uploading the video files to these sites. I tried Flash and WMV formats of video files. I would like know the experiences of users in this group regarding uploading of video to any video hosting sites.

The folks at edtechtalk did a comparison that you might find useful.

Have a look at the list at
www.shambles.net/pages/learning/ict/multimedia

Pete .. thanks for the comparison URL
That's an amazing list - just when I thought I was getting my head round the options!
TeacherTube is another alternative, although I am not sure that quality is addressed here. It seems to me that in order to share videos via the Net, they need to be compressed and made small, thus losing some of the original quality. (I expect that will eventually change -- I hope).

By the way, I came across this long list of video resources that might be of interest:

http://mashable.com/2007/06/27/video-toolbox/

It has all sorts of links, from video hosting to online editing to video format conversion sites.

Thanks for the suggestions. The video quality in http://www.revvr.com is good.
http://mashable.com/2007/06/27/video-toolbox/ is also very good.

Further, I am searching for screencast video tutorials on science topics.
I tried http://freevideolectures.com/, but many of the videos were shooted in the classrooms.
Can anybody suggest me good sites for screen cast video lectures / tutorials on science topics.

Further to my previous message, I would like to add the links provided for Physics in the link http://www.physicsforums.com/blog/2005/07/09/physics-videos/ is very good.
Out of the links provided there, I liked the Physics Matters link (Physics Matters: An Introduction to Conceptual Physics by James Trefil and Robert M. Hazen (at Wiley) (fyi: the website encouraged bookmarking of this page)

Any good sites for videos (preferably on screencast) on science topics covering whole course like the one above, Physics Matters - An Introduction to Conceptual Physics. Any suggestions?
