What do I look for in a new hire? /Where do I find them?

I am a k-8 administrator in a parochial school in the Los Angeles area who is committed to school reform and all things 2.0.
I know many of you are active classroom teachers so I have some questions for you...
My challenge - I am still looking for a teacher for next year (Math/Science) and I want them to have some understanding of the role technology should play in these areas
So questions for you
1. How did you come to embrace things 2.0?
2. If you are new to teaching did your education prepare you for the technology aspects
3. Do we need a way to bring 2.0 principals and 2.0 teachers together?
(Do you have any friends who are looking for jobs in LA? )

If you find someone who has _heard_ of Web 2.0, you should probably hire them!
I would hire someone who demonstrates that they are flexible. I would see if they have a blog or Google search for them beforehand.
