The Future of Schools-Best Practices

I've been invited to join our superintendent (and others) to discuss the future of our district and the future of schools in general. I think I was invited because of the technology related projects I've done over the years. I would like to have some resources in hand (or laptop) that give a clear picture of best practices.There aren't any expectations to present material, the meetings' focus is brainstorming.

If you were in my shoes (or flip flops) what would you take to the (5)meetings? Which books? documents? webpages? How could I best show what kids are doing? Any sources you swear by? Any blog posts that have changed your teaching practices? HELP.
