I've been exploring zoho.com's online office suite and noticed that it contains some possibilities for school. Things like collaborating on lesson plans, managing a committee or department calendar, and creating a wiki that students could use. Anyone been doing these or other things with zoho?

I was watching a K12 Online Conference presentation - Step by Step Building a Web 2.0 Classroom and the gentleman speaking mentioned Zoho. You can get to his weblog from the link to the conference page. Hope this gives you a start.
For our regional Heritage Fair (sort of a Science Fair for Social Studies) here in Winnipeg, we hope to have teachers submit student names and their project titles using a form and database made with Zoho Creator. This should mean we don't have to enter 350 kids data manually using handwritten and often illegible forms. We've been giving the trial database a workout, trying to crash it before we use it next March. So far it's been bulletproof.
