What software or online application do you use to make your time lines? I found one called Our Story, and was wondering if anybody has used this and what your thoughts might be.

Thanks!!

Hi David, I joined ourstory sometime last year, to be perfectly honest at the time I was annoyed by the amount of mail I recieved from the site and so stopped using it.

Two apps that I do like are Circavie.com and dandelife.com. My preference is circavie.
Great thanks, we used to use a program called Time Liner but that was years ago and I wanted something that can be done over the web.
Funny thing. I once owned the domain ourstory.com, and have several files worth of plans for it. In a moment of despair and poverty, I let it go.

Are you familiar with xtimeline?

On timelines, it seems an art not yet there. I've still seen few timelines that grab me, teach me, or have the learning effect I long imagined they'd bring; and now I seriously wonder if anyone will ever unlock the key.

What do you think?

We do have a collection of many different timelines.

I did like the US Mexican War , and The Race to Utah.

I'd love to hear what different students think of timelines.
readwritethink.org has a time line maker.
That looks pretty straight forward and really easy for el ed aged kids, I'll give it a shot, thanks!!!
It's called Circa Vie, and I think it's by far the easiest and best online tool to create timelines:
