I thought it's worth mentioning that last night (Thursday) marked the very first MB Edubloggercon held here in Winnipeg, Manitoba and sponsored by the
Manitoba Association of Computing Educators. 60 teachers from around Manitoba (and even one from Saskatchewan) gathered in a local eatery to talk, socialize, and learn about the cool tech things we were each doing in our classes. In addition to those there, about two dozen others joined us via a Ustream.tv feed of the "unpresentations" that a handful of speakers put on.
It was a great chance to meet people from around the province who are grappling with the same issues, and, in a few cases, to put faces to names I've heard repeatedly. It was also an interesting reminder that however cool it is to meet people "virtually" sometimes face to face contact can't be beaten.
Those who were there in person or electronically had a great time, and, to those who couldn't make it, you need to have an Edubloggercon in your own neighborhood.
