We are spending a lot of time talking about losing a member of this community, which is great, but I am wondering if we can take it a bit further. I recently did a post in my
blog talking about a video we recently watched created by Karl Fisch, Scott McLeod and XPLANE and shown on TeacherTube. It raises the issue discussed by many--Are we preparing kids for the world they will be entering? I do not think so. Spending eighteen years in business prior to coming back to teaching, I was shocked at the lack of awareness and motivation. So, again, after complaining a bit, I sat down and tried to figure out what
I could do differently. I am working with podcasting, using iPods as teaching tools, and starting a learning community
website for use by my school and the world, if they like, and to share my work.
What can we do to spread the word beyond the walls of a community already somewhat getting it? What have you done to better prepare the kids we teach? Just wondering.....
We like this video even though it is a bit long..
Did you know? 2.0 I bet many don't.... so what can
you or
we do?
