I saw that there was a question about tablet PCs. I teach at an all boys' school that has had laptops for about 12 years. Join our Ning for more info on using tech in the classroom. We switched to tablets (HP) two years ago. Out of the box I would suggest teaching the kids when to use the tablet and when to use the keyboard. It may seem simple, but it is the best thing that you can teach them. They will all want to use the tablet all the time and that just does not work. After that hit OneNote. It is the best piece of software they will use. Also, make sure your faculty has time to play with these things before you turn them lose on the kids. I would be happy to talk more at www.bstech.ning.com.
