Considering what we have seen happen throughout act 1 and 2, how do you think Walter and Benetha's immature actions have made an infulence in Ruth's character at the closing of act 2? Explain in your opinion how Ruth has dealt with their actions and why she's the one that has to be responsible for them.

welll i have to go

i hope my response helped

In my opinion, Ruth is tired of going through the arguments that Walter and Benetha have over the dumbest things. Ruth knows that the relationship between Walter and Benetha isn't the best since they can't even wake up one morniong without arguing. By all the problems caused by Walter and Benetha, Ruth went on Mama's side because she now understands what Mama has to go through with her family. Walter and Benetha are the reason for Ruth not enjoying her life as she would of want to due to Walter always fighting over money and Benetha never listening.

I agree with you Natalie, she is taking mama,s place. What has Ruth done to still keep things in order?

Ruth has done her best to maintain the family together, but it is becoming difficult with Walter and Benetha. For Ruth to keep the house in order she had to learn to live with the arguements and ignore them as well.

I strongly agree with you!

I agree with Natalie, all of Walters and Benetha's arguments just tire Ruth which made her understand what Mama went through with her family.

Walter and Benetha are just hardheaded people, selfish, and irresponsible.

I actually agree with Justin Newman.

I say Walter wants to become a better man for his family but has a hard time wth money issues and the family has no kind of fashional order.

I personally believe that Walter is trying to become better but there situation is tight, with the money. That who's gonna get it. He's having a hard time cause of the issues about them fighting over it. That he wants to keep the money to help out the family by making the bar.

I think towards the end of the story the family will become close and realize how important family is. Ruth will realize that  what she went through will make her stronger and the family will have a better life.

I agree with your thoughts but how is Ruth's charcter influened by Walter and Benetha's actions?

I agree with Diquwaun because Ruth will become a stronger person for the reason of what she went through in life.

I believe that Ruth is noticing the way Walter and Benethea act towards each other, and how there is always going to be problems found throughout the Family. Ruth has a sense of maturity where she is just dealing with the problems.Shes found responsible for them, Becasue mama cant always baby them. Plus, mama wont always be around take care of them. In a sense of maturity, Ruth takes control.
