I was at FETC last week and saw a few products that are advertised as "safe" web 2.0 environments. Basically all the activity is limited to a school network and to people with passwords. While I have some problems with this philosophically, I've heard from many teachers that their schools block most web 2.0 sites. So these kind of products could be their only option for kids to work on blogs, wikis, and podcasts in school.
Has anyone tried Saywire, RM Honeycomb, or OpenClassroom? If so, what did you think? Are there other ones out there that folks have tried?
