Art Institute of Chicago Teacher's Lounge Google Hangout (Recording)

Have you been using technology in your classroom? When is technology vital to teaching and learning, and when does it get in the way? Have you thought about how technology contributes to learning in and through the arts?

Hear the first Google Hangout on Air session from the Art Institute of Chicago and listen in on the provocative discussion and hands-on exploration of the role of technology in art and education. We welcome additional comments or question on our GH splash page. See more resources on our wiki page: Learning through Museums

Program Summary:

Kicked off by Florida State University professor Rob Duarte who  teaches digital media and fabrication at FSU. Learn via GH about his work attempts to bring to the surface the hidden relationships between technology and culture.

Carolina Kaufman, Joe Anderson, and Silvia Gonzalez helped lead discussions around different platforms for using art and technology in the classroom. Those who attend the workshop at the museum will have the opportunity to try these tools in our studio.
