Articles about how Web 2.0 tools improve or don't improve student writing?

Does anyone know of any articles that are research based on how using Web 2.0 tools in the classroom either improves the students' writing or not.  I am having one heck of a time finding information on this particular subject for my Action Research paper.

Thanks,

Jon

There's a ton out there, specifically in regard to blogging and texting (texting has been shown to improve student literacy, despite common perceptions). You can find links to a few studies here.

For others, try doing a Google scholar search -- I've been successful using that method in the past.

Good luck!

I have been working on pilot with 4'th and 5'th grade students using netbooks to support writing. Our supervisor of special education is using the study as an action research for graduate school. We have had great results. This pilot is also part of a PLC. You can contact Eileen Daggett, Supervisor of Special Education , edaggett@jefftwp.org . I am sure she can provide you with some assistance and some of our data.
