I teach 7th grade science and I am very interesting in incorporating a blog or wiki as part of my classroom. What tool is better to interact with students with?
Thanks for the feedback.

I really like WordPress and have several blogs including one I use for homework details for all my classes - nobody can ever say to me now that they didn't know what the homework was! I use blogs when I want to give information to students (or staff). Whilst anyone can comment on a blog, depending on what you want to do then a wiki may be better for collaboration.
I use wikispaces (no age issues as teachers can create users - no email required), classes have found it easy to learn and use and like the fact that they all have editing rights!
I put links together here for staff at my school (which as it happens is a WordPress blog!).
Also see the link to Blogs, Wikis, Docs - which is right for your lesson on this page.
Thanks for the advice Colleen. I have created an account with WordPress but I have not developed yet; I better get busy. Have a great year.
