Hello! I am just starting out (I was just approved today) and I am looking for advice about the best place to start. I have looked at some of the other discussions, but still trying to figure out my way around. I teach American History at a private Christian high school. I would love any tips on incorporating more technology in my classroom and ways to get students involved in social media for class discussions.

Thank you!

Welcome to this dicussion group. It is simply amazing. Hope you will have a good time here then.

It is simply amazing and inspirational. Classroom 2.0 (www.classroom20.com) is a community-based bridge for educators who are interested in the use of Web 2.0 or cooperative technologies (scientific knowledge) in the classroom. Started in March of this year, its quick & ongoing approval is an indication of the capacity that community-based networks have to provide a speedy /quick feeling of animate being of the community and an environment for engaged/ spoken for an exchange of ideas.

Formal professional development, particularly during  break, often introduces teachers to new practices. The most significant factor, though, is a convincing colleague who shares a teaching context.
