Can Fun Activities Be Good Enough To Make Children Learn??

I was jsut testing certain concepts of art and craft work to know if children could learn something out of such activities. I found theie imagination power working. Can their be a lot more of such activities which could make the children learn and grow fast in terms of learning capability?? Post your views and ideas on this.
